El Roi — The God Who Sees

“She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’” — Genesis 16:13

He is El Roi.

The God who sees.

He saw your unformed body in the secret place and called it good.

He saw your very first breath rise like a fragile prayer—and He will be there to hold you at your last.

He heard the harsh words that split your heart in two.

He saw the abuse.

The innocence stripped away.

The bruises left by what pretended to be love.

He saw you reach for the drink, the hit, anything to quiet the ache.

He saw you give yourself away—and He wept. Because you are not a body to be used by man. You are His treasure. His beloved.

He knows your heart. Every chamber bears His fingerprints.

He longs to draw you near. To hold you close. To make you His forever.

Yet love never forces—it always invites. And He places the invitation in your hands.

Still—He loves you.

Not with a love that shifts or fades, but with Agape—a love without end.

He loved you at your worst.

He loves you still.

He chooses you again and again.

The Great I AM bends low to wash your feet.

His blood wipes away your shame.

His cross carries the weight of every burden you drag behind.

And He whispers: Come.

Come, you who thirst—let Me be the water that satisfies the hollow of your soul.

Come, you who are weary—lay down your heavy load.

Find your rest in Me, gentle and humble, strong enough to carry you.

Precious heart, know this: El Roi sees you.

He calls you by name.

He delights in you.

And He longs to lavish His love over you—without measure, without end.
